Home Learning
Home Learning Grid.
Why not have a go at completing some tasks this half term from the Home Learning grid!
Select any of the activities and complete either on your own or with someone else at home.
When you have finished we would love to see some of your work on Seesaw!
Spellings
We would like children to learn a new set of spellings each week.
Every Monday morning we will see how well we have remembered our spellings before changing the words here on the website on a Monday afternoon/evening.
There will be 8 words to learn and 2 challenge words to attempt!
This week, some children found the following words to be tricky: you've and continue so keep practising those!
The next set of words are:
scarves
boxes
sandwiches
movement
enjoyment
careful
fearful
darkness
address
guard
For the last time this academic year...we will see how well the children know these words next week on Monday!
Please support your child with learning these spellings at home.
Here are some ideas of how to help your child learn spellings!
Reading
Independent/shared reading should take place a minimum of 3 times per week (20 minutes) to be recorded in children's yellow reading diary.
Even better if children can read daily to support their reading skills, vocabulary and comprehension.
21 minutes of reading per day will result in a child acquiring an extra 2 million words per year.
Children have the opportunity to change reading books 3 times a week in class.
Why not have a look through the books on the Oxford Owl website for a wider selection. (See attached log in details!)
