Welcome to Chennestone Primary School’s website. I hope that you find our website easy to use, helpful and informative, as well as giving you a flavour of our school.

Chennestone is more than a school – it is a Community!  It is part of a Federation of two schools at the heart of the Sunbury-Upon-Thames community:  Beauclerc Infant and Nursery School and Chennestone Primary School. The Federation has given us a wonderful opportunity to bring these two excellent schools closer together, with each and every child at the heart of all that we do. We are split across two sites within a short walking distance of each other.  

Choosing the right school for your child is vitally important and we are incredibly honoured that you have chosen or are thinking of choosing our school for your child’s academic journey. 

We all want the very best education for our children, but we also want our children to be safe, happy and to feel secure.  We believe that we offer all these things.  We pride ourselves on our academic results, but we are equally proud of our caring, happy and friendly school ethos.

We are an inclusive school, aiming to provide our children with a safe and stimulating environment, where everyone is valued and respected as an individual. As you walk around our lovely school, you will see well-behaved children in every classroom. Chennestone children are happy and eager to learn, and their excellent behaviour is a reflection of their engagement and enthusiasm.

We aspire for children to be Respectful, Resilient and Ready to take risks and learn from their mistakes and to fulfil their full potential as learners and individuals.  These 3Rs underpin everything that we do and are linked to our aims, ethos, vision and values.

We place great emphasis on developing a strong partnership between home and school, as it is through working together in an atmosphere of mutual respect and support that we can provide what is best for our children, in order that they may be happy, enriched and fulfil their full potential.

I am incredibly proud to be Headteacher of this highly performing, innovative and forward-thinking school. I am privileged to lead a fantastic team where everyone from our premises staff through to our teachers have the children’s best interests at heart and provide a fantastic, creative and exciting education for our children.
